Kneipp hydrotherapy in Pitztal

Kneipp hydrotherapy at the swimming lake in Stillebach in St. Leonhard

You could hardly think of a nicer name for the hamlet of “Stillebach“, German for “quiet brook“. Stillebach is home to Pitztal’s water world. The Klockele waterfall rushes to the ground over steep cliffs, surrounded by a picturesque mountain backdrop. Enjoy recreation at the idyllic swimming lake with large lawns to sunbathe and Kneipp hydrotherapy facilities that promise a relaxing treat to your feet.

Sebastian Kneipp, a Bavarian priest, discovered the healing qualities of water over 125 years ago. His “Kneipp Cure“, a system of healing involving the application of water through various methods, temperatures and pressures, is still hugely popular across Europe.

At the centre of the water world are the Kneipp facilities with cold water basins for arms, hands and feet and a water treading pool. Immerse your legs in cool water in the treading pool and you will leave with a tingly sensation while your hands and arms are gently massaged by the cool water. Relax after your hydrotherapy “treatement“ on a large, sunny and quiet lawn.

Changing rooms, information board with Kneipp hydrotherapy instructions and a refreshing drinking water fountain round off this relaxing experience.

The Kneipp facilities are open to our guests from the end of May to the end of September.
