Kaunergrat-Pitztal Nature Park
Pitztal
is part of the Kaunergrat-Pitztal Nature Park. It provides you with hands-on nature,
educational paths, themed paths, guided walks as well as typical regional food
and drink. Trained nature and countryside guides offer excursions to the Piller
Moor and the alpine pasture region of Hinter-Pitztal, where participants can view
the land being put to the traditional uses such as pasture, cattle and animal
grazing etc..

Mountain brooks meander along and waterfalls roar into the valley. Mountain tops
are reflected. In mountain lakes such as the Rifflsee (2,250 m). Pitztal inhabitants
appreciate the sensibility and the beauty of their home, which means that there
are wildlife conservancy areas as well as countryside conservancy areas.
The Kaunergrat-Pitztal Nature Park was established with the intention of
nature-friendly utilisation of the land and of striking a balance between agricultural
use, tourism and preserving the natural habitat.

The nature reserve house is intended to symbolise
the nine affiliated local
authorities since it lies at the intersection between the Kaunertal, Pitztal and
Inntal. The amazing assets of the region around the nature
reserve are all
portrayed in this building. This is where the idea behind the Kaunergrat nature
reserve becomes tangible in the complete sense of the word for visitors and local
residents. The Kaunergrat nature reserve house is a modern wooden structure containing
an information area, a nature reserve exhibition, a restaurant as well as the
offices of the nature park authority. A particular highlight is definitely the
magnificent view of the Piller Sattel. The Gachen Blick has fascinated and attracted
people
for thousands of years. The Kaunergrat nature reserve house at the Piller
