Marlies and Benni Raich are the world’s most successful skiing couple and their home is in Pitztal. These two ski champions can look back on an impressive success record: during their skiing careers they won 8 Olympic medals, 17 world championship medals, 12 world cup trophies, 73 individual world cup victories and 161 world cup podium places. An exhibition dedicated to these two ski stars has now opened.

Many memorabilia of these two ski stars are shown at Hochzeiger

The exhibition at the Zeigerrestaurant at Hochzeiger intermediate station is called “Parallelslalom Marlies and Benni Raich”. It takes a look behind the scenes of both of their careers and highlights the personal side behind their sporting success.

Hochzeiger is the home ski resort of these two stars

It shows exhibits from their childhood and teenage years, training methods, injuries and, of course, it also shows their great international careers. Many memorabilia of these two stars are on display such as Marlies Schild's first ski boots, ski poles made by Benjamin Raich’s father, start numbers, medals and the crystal trophy balls. Interactive stations offer the opportunity to try out training methods yourself. Personal stories told by Marlies and Benni Raich round off the exhibition.

Hochzeiger is the home ski resort of these two stars. Benni Raich and his siblings learned skiing here. During his entire career, Hochzeiger always remained an important ski training ground. Today he is busy training the next generation. Marlies and Benni Raich enjoy being active in the Hochzeiger area with free skiing in winter and hiking in summer.
