My Story – Nynke’s AlpenNest
Welcome! I’m Nynke, the founder of Nynke’s AlpenNest. For me, this house is more than just accommodation – it’s a true home in the mountains, where adventure, nature and hospitality come together. Everything I experienced on my travels flows into this place, making AlpenNest a special retreat.
From childhood memories to a dream project
As a child, I travelled to Austria with my family every year. The mountains became a second home – full of freedom, peace and adventure. These memories inspired my dream: to create a place where groups can share unforgettable days together, without the need for unreachable luxury.
From globetrotter to host
My path led me around the world: studying and working in Finland, Spain, Greece, Sint Maarten and Mauritius. Journeys to Costa Rica and Guatemala gave me unforgettable moments. But no matter how far I went – the Alps never let me go.
In 2023, I took the leap: I bought a house in the Pitztal and, with the support of family and friends, transformed it into Nynke’s AlpenNest. Not a project from a blueprint, but a heartfelt place where you can feel the dedication in every detail.
My philosophy
AlpenNest offers space for groups of up to 10 people – families or circles of friends. I don’t offer anonymous standards but a vibrant place that allows both relaxation and shared adventures. Hiking trails start right outside the door, and those seeking thrills will find them in canyoning or rafting.
Your adventure begins here
For me, hospitality is a promise: honest, personal, and filled with joy in helping. I look forward to welcoming you at AlpenNest – a nest in the heart of nature, created with passion and ready to be shared with you.
