GOLDEN TRAIL WORLD SERIES
The Golden Trail World Series is one of the most important global race series. The GTWS will make its first stop in Austria at the 13th Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail . The GTWS brings together the most challenging and prestigious mountain and trail races in the world. Year after year, the elite of trail runners meet at the starting line and compete in thrilling races. The series comprises 8 races worldwide, only 2 of which are held in the DACH region. The Salomon Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail is therefore on a par with the most famous and successful races in the world.

- 23.5 km and +/- 1700 m elevation gain (The actual kilometers and elevation gain vary between +/- 5% depending on the measuring method).
- Separate rankings for men and women

Admission criteria
- UTMB/ITRA Score
- Women: >650
- Men: >700
- or a top 10 finish in a GTNS race in 2024
Compulsory equipment
- Closed Trail Running Shoes
- ID / Passport (only for bib distribution)
- Mobile Phone
- Mountain Rescue Insurance (Recommendation)
- Rescue Blanket (210 x 160cm)
- Course map on smart phone/watch
If you do not meet the first two criteria, please contact info@laufwerkstatt.at. Please indicate other previous sporting achievements that would allow you to be admitted by the race organizers. Fulfillment of the admission criteria will be checked in the run-up to the event. The entry fee will not be refunded if the criteria are not met.
Short-term route changes are possible due to weather conditions.
