Ice climbing with respect
Our contribution to preserving nature
With its impressive waterfalls, the Pitztal valley offers a unique winter experience. To ensure that we can continue to enjoy this impressive natural backdrop in the future, it is essential that athletes, wildlife and the local population treat each other with respect.
Please note the following points during your adventure:
- No drone exploration: Please refrain completely from exploring or filming waterfalls with drones. The loud whirring noise and flight movements cause extreme stress to wild animals and can force them to flee, which can lead to life-threatening energy loss during the harsh winter months and cause them to crash.
- Respect quiet zones: Take particular care when ascending and descending to strictly avoid marked wildlife quiet zones. Stay on the usual paths so as not to disturb the animals' retreat areas.
- Leave no trace: whatever you take with you into nature, please take it home with you again. This applies not only to rubbish, but also to any equipment you leave behind. "Leave No Trace" is a matter of honour.
- Parking correctly: Only use the designated parking spaces for the respective ice falls.
