Pitz Nordics Green Event
GREEN EVENTS TIROL is an initiative of Klimabündnis Tirol and Umwelt Verein Tirol in cooperation with the province of Tyrol to promote an environmentally and socially responsible event culture.
In the second edition, we would also like to emphasize the topic of sustainability and try to receive the GREEN EVENT TIROL award after the GREEN EVENT TIROL basic certification.
What is a green event?
Measures implemented in the course of Green Event certification
General
- Waste separation on the event grounds
- Avoiding waste as much as possible
- Use of reusable cups and bottles
- 50% vegetarian dishes
- Suppliers and producers from the region
- Only regional food where possible
- Recycled paper and sustainable ink are used for existing printed materials
- Guests are informed about the measures at the event
- Travel by public transport is encouraged
Accessabilty
- Start and finish areas in Stillebach and Mandarfen are barrier-free
- Nightrace: accessible toilets at the Biohotel Stillebach
- Sat & Sun: accessible toilets at the valley station of the Rifflsee cable cars
- Accessible parking spaces near the start and finish areas
Catering
The entry fee includes a €10 discount on lunch (Green Event Menu) at a restaurant establishment in Mandarfen.
