This is the most beautiful dead-end road of the world! A ride along the Kaunertal Glacier Road opens up all vegetation levels of the Alps and a mountain landscape shaped by millions of years of glacial ice. There are numerous features straight by the wayside. At the end of the road the Karlesjochbahn cable way takes you up to 3,108 m.
Kaunertaler Glacier road can be used in combination with Kaunertal Glacier Karlesjoch gondola.
Highlights:
- 26 kilometres with 29 sharp turns
- from Feichten (1,273 m altitude) to the edge of the “eternal ice” 2,750 m
- 33 highlights up to Kaunertaler Glacier
