Terms and Conditions – Pitz Alpine Snow Trail

Application – Scope

Hereinafter, the Pitz Alpine Snow Trail event will be abbreviated to PAST.

PAST is an event organised by Emo Tirol, Lukas Kocher, Franz-Jais-Weg 11, 6473 6424-Silz. The latest amendments to the Terms and Conditions are always kept up to date on the event’s website. They form an integral part of the contract between the organiser and the participant in the version valid at the time of registration.

Route details
Route details and profiles are always available on our website. Routes and start times may be changed by the organiser at short notice. The distances have been measured as accurately as possible. Nevertheless, it is possible that running watches may show slight differences in distance or elevation gain. As running watches normally have a margin of error of up to 5 per cent, this can amount to up to 0.5 km. For more information on the route and the latest GPX data, visit
www.pitztal.com

Registration
Registration takes place via the following portal: https://time2win.at/event/801

Carrying over registration to the following year
Should you wish to carry over your starting place to the following year, this can be done independently at any time via Time2win (subject to a re-registration fee)

Cancellation of registration
In the event of cancellation of registration, participants are not entitled to a refund, regardless of the reason. However, you can take out cancellation insurance on TIME2WIN during the registration process. Please read the relevant Terms and Conditions.

Cancellation insurance
Optionally, insurance can be taken out during online registration, which covers the registration fee in the event of a withdrawal from participation in accordance with the rules. The settlement is handled directly between the insurance provider and the timekeeper, Time2Win.

Cancellation of the race and changes to the route
Should the race be cancelled by the organiser for reasons other than safety concerns or force majeure, participants will be refunded their entry fee. If the race is cancelled by the organiser for safety reasons or due to force majeure, the entry fee cannot be refunded to participants. Please note that in the event of a change to the route or an interruption for safety reasons (particularly in the event of adverse weather conditions) or due to force majeure, no refund will be made.

Criteria for disqualification
Disqualification will occur in the event of a failure to carry compulsory equipment, a breach of the rules set out in this document, littering, unsportsmanlike behaviour towards other participants, and failure to follow the instructions of the organising team, official marshals and the mountain rescue service.

The following rules must be observed in particular

  • All participants must follow the route markings.
  • Participants must assist anyone in danger or who is injured and immediately report any accident by telephone to the race committee or an official marshal on the course.
  • Short sections of some routes run along forest tracks and roads. Particular caution is required here. Runners must at all times show consideration for other road users (vehicles, skiers, walkers, etc.).
  • Participants must clear the way and allow others to overtake.
  • Participants must protect the environment – no rubbish of any kind may be left on the course.
  • Any form of physical assistance (pushing, pulling, carrying, etc.) to a participant is prohibited.

Refreshment stations and cut-off checkpoints
Refreshment and checkpoints are located along the route, some of which also enforce cut-off times. For sustainability reasons, no disposable cups will be provided at the refreshment stations. Cups can be purchased during late registration or at the race number collection point.

Safety information

If the race is abandoned, each participant is responsible for their own return transport and is obliged to inform the race organisers by text message using the number provided. In emergencies, the mountain rescue service must be alerted via the emergency number 140 or an emergency app. Instructions from volunteers, paramedics and medical staff must be followed; runners may be withdrawn from the race if there are health concerns.

Rescue costs
All rescue costs are to be borne by the participant; insurance is therefore strongly recommended. This can be added at the time of registration. Please check your own insurance terms and conditions in advance.
