Terms and conditions

The organizers or their representatives and agents are not liable for damages or injuries of any kind that may arise from participation in the Glacier Marathon Pitztal 2026 and the supporting events, unless they have caused them through intent or gross negligence. This also applies to the sponsors & the locations of the Pitztal.

The participants confirm that they have trained sufficiently for participation in this competition, are physically healthy and that their state of health has been confirmed by a doctor.

The participants agree that the data stated in the registration, the photos, film recordings and interviews made by them may be used and passed on in radio, television, books, photomechanical reproductions without any claim to remuneration.

The participants assure that the stated year of birth and personal best time are correct and that the start number will not be passed on to any other person. Runners are aware that they will be disqualified if they leave the official route or alter the race number in any way, in particular by making the advertising print invisible or unrecognizable.

In the event of non-participation, cancellation of the event or interruption due to force majeure, the participant is not entitled to a refund of the organization fee.
In the event of withdrawal due to injury up to 4 weeks before the event (June 7, 2026), the entry fee may be refunded as an exception.
It is further prohibited for starters to take dogs with them to the running event. However, spectators with dogs (leash requirement) are welcome.

The organizer reserves the right to change the time slightly.

By submitting the entry form, all participants declare their agreement with the race conditions. It is expressly pointed out once again that the running course runs almost exclusively on the Pitztal main road and that traffic will only be partially blocked. The police and volunteers will provide the necessary barriers and safety measures.

No liability is assumed for theft or other damage. The start is at your own risk, in particular all participants are responsible for their physical fitness.

(Note according to data protection law: Your data will be stored automatically).

Checkpoint / time limit:

All marathon participants who have not passed the checkpoint in Schön (approx. 32 km from the start of the marathon course in Mandarfen) by 12:00 noon will be removed from the race.

Closing time

All participants who reach the finish line by 2 p.m. will be included in the official results list.

Timekeeping

Timekeeping is carried out by our partner Race Result Austria.
The timing chip is already integrated in the start number, so there are no additional fees for a separate chip rental.
All participants must use the chip integrated in the start number.

Medical service / race doctor, Red Cross

Security and marshals: police, fire department and local clubs
Massages: are available free of charge at the finish area in Arzl (Gruabe Arena)

Disqualification

In case of unsportsmanlike behavior (shortening the course, disregarding the instructions of the stewards, etc.), the race management will disqualify and remove from the ranking without exception. The public traffic rules apply and "left-hand runners" will be punished particularly severely! If the organizer notices a "left-handed runner", he/she has the right to disqualify him/her and remove him/her from the classification without refunding the entry fee.
