The entire retreat house has been consistently renovated and constructed using ecological building materials (clay, wood, pure lime plaster, lime paint, etc.). Existing beams and natural stone walls were preserved and integrated. This resulted in a unique ambiance. The continuous use of ecological building materials and practices in the construction and furnishing of the rooms creates a healthy indoor climate with high recreational value and is gentle on the environment. By preserving the existing building substance, the historical impact of the farmhouse has been maintained.
Guests can use the house's own woodworking shop. Throughout the house, one can discover small details where various materials have been reused, e.g., a stair step as a windowsill, a former door as a bedside cabinet. The integration of existing construction elements (natural stone wall) and materials, along with resource-efficient building methods, rewards the corresponding extra effort with a special flair that you, as a guest, are allowed to experience and enjoy.
