FC Augsburg’s first team visits the Pitztal valley

The partnership between the Pitztal tourism region and FC Augsburg is more than just a collaboration – it is an expression of friendship and a passion for football, as well as a love of nature. Since the partnership began in 2018 , numerous exciting activities have developed both on and off the football pitch.

FCA uses the holiday region in Austria for training camps. Both the first team and the coaching staff regularly visit the Pitztal for team-building activities. In addition, sponsored skiing trips with FCA’s exclusive partners and excursions with FC Augsburg’s members’ clubs are organised. A highlight is the FCA Football School’s holiday camp in the Pitztal, which is offered in the summer for children aged six to 13.

The decision to choose the Pitztal tourist region as a partner was based on good reason, focusing on the four villages of Arzl, Wenns, Jerzens and St. Leonhard. The region captivates visitors with its unspoilt, natural charm and typical Tyrolean hospitality. A wide range of activities and things to do ensure you’ll never get bored in the Pitztal Alps – just the ticket for FC Augsburg fans, who can reach the area easily via the Fern Pass!

DSLV – Your Winter, Your Sport

To sustain these intergenerational benefits, the various social groups must work together in alliances and partnerships.

Winter sports require close cooperation between national, regional and local government. With towns and regions, tourist destinations and mountain railways. Between sports organisations, nature conservation groups, businesses and initiatives.

And above all: through self-directed programmes and projects!

Winter sports are exciting, healthy, environmentally friendly, adaptable, socially equitable, economical and efficient. Winter sports therefore fulfil important social roles both now and in the future.
