Plan P Projects in the Pitztal Valley – Tourism Development

Year-round tourism
To tackle labour shortages and strengthen the region, we want to promote year-round tourism. The aim is to spread out peak seasons, boost off-peak seasons and create year-round jobs. Extending the opening hours of catering establishments and cable cars is intended to support this objective.

Development of Pitz Park, Wenns
In order to offer a year-round programme of leisure activities for bad weather , we want to modernise Pitz Park Wenns. Plans include refurbishing the facility, adding a sauna area and heating the outdoor swimming pool for the winter. In this way, we aim to create an attractive programme of activities for all weathers throughout the year .

Alternative winter activities
To offer a wide range of winter activities, our aim is to expand the cross-country skiing infrastructure and promote winter walking in the Pitztal. In addition, plans include, for example, the creation of an ice rink to offer families an additional leisure activity away from the slopes and to enrich the winter experience in the Pitztal.

Hochzeiger toboggan run
We want to improve the tobogganing facilities at Hochzeiger by refurbishing and expanding the natural toboggan run. This expansion is intended to strengthen and diversify winter sports activities and offer an attractive alternative to traditional skiing in the Hochzeiger ski resort.

Summer offers at Rifflsee
To further boost summer tourism in the Pitztal valley, we want to develop the area around Rifflsee. Plans include new activity options that will enhance the summer mountain experience and make the Pitztal even more attractive to nature and mountain lovers.
