Pitz Alpine Snow Trail – Trail runners at the Hochzeiger in winter

The PAST MEGA, which covers 20 kilometres and 1,840 metres of elevation gain, combines the full PAST SUPER route with the easier PAST GUAT to create an intense, high-alpine snow trail challenge. It is the Hochzeiger’s greatest challenge.

From the valley station, the route leads along slopes and paths to the Stalderhütte and the Zirbenbahn, with the extremely steep Zirbenfall. Over the ridge to the Sechszeiger, the route joins the PAST-GUAT route: continuing on to the Hochzeiger, technically steep through the ‘Kanonenrohr’, via Zollberg and Zirbenpark back to the middle station.

The PAST MEGA is a comprehensive alpine snow trail challenge that perfectly combines steep key sections, a high-alpine panorama and runnable snow passages.
