Our competent mountain guides are familiar with the topography and during our guided hikes on snowshoes they take you through the snow-covered winter landscape of the holiday region of Kaunergrat nature park – Pitztal. This is snowshoe sport fun for the whole family!

Snowshoe hiking taster course

Those who have never tried snowshoes before or who would like to take their first steps with a professional guide can do so with one of our taster sessions! Here, you can get initial information regarding equipment, technique and planning your tours.

Snowshoe hiking for advanced

This snowshoe route leads over the softly cropped terrain at Piller Sattel and is an ideal addition to the taster course!

Take sun glasses, sun cream, warm clothing, food and drink, sturdy ankle boots, ski poles and gaiters are recommended. Please note that a minimum number of participants is essential.

Route - Mittelberg till Wiese

Starting point: The valley hiking trail follows the Pitze river from Mittelberg to Wiese. It is particularly popular with walkers and locals. You can access this hiking trail in every hamlet of St Leonhard and can walk into or out of the valley. You can return as you like either via the same route on foot or by using the Regio shuttle bus.

Duration: optionally, access and exit is possible in every hamlet.

Starting point: Car park in the direction of Fließ.
Cross the road and hike with your snow shoes on a steep snowy forest path, across wintry alpine meadows to the catered mountain hut Gogles Alm which you will approach from the back. It is only a few metres to the main entrance from there with its glorious sun terrace. Enjoy homemade culinary delights at 2,017 m with breath-taking views of the winter scenery.
