P-YTR – Young Talents Race
In 2025, with the Young Talents Race, the Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail will also offer young trail runners a route where they can put their skills to the test. The trail begins with a loop in Mandarfen, continuing to the Taschach Alm, across the Taschachbach stream and on to Mittelberg. From there, the route continues via the Sagensteig to the Gletscherstube. From the Gletscherstube, the route follows the track back to Mandarfen and the finish line. The course covers approximately 7.6 km with an elevation gain of approximately 260 metres.

- Start time*: 1.30 pm
- Eligible to take part: aged 12–22
- Separate rankings for boys and girls
- The actual figures for distance and elevation gain vary by between +/- 5 per cent, depending on the measurement method.

Compulsory equipment
- Closed-toe trail running shoes (with a grippy sole)
- Drinking vessel (no cups at the refreshment stations!)
- Liquid capacity: 0.5 L
- Identity card (for collection of race numbers only)
- Mobile phone (smartphone/mobile)
- Mountain Insurance
- Emergency blanket (210 x 160 cm)
- Map on smartphone/running watch
The specified compulsory equipment and the set cut-off times are mandatory for all participants for safety reasons.
Last-minute route changes are possible due to weather conditions.
