P90 – The Pitztal Glacier Ultra
Just as with the P105, the individual sections of the route take the trail runners back to Mandarfen time and again to the start and finish refreshment stations.
Spectators and support teams can cheer on and support the runners three times. The highlight of the route is the Mittagskogel saddle at 3,070 m, followed by a glacier crossing to the Braunschweigerhütte. In the third section, runners face the challenging Cottbuser Höhenweg via the Kaunergrathütte, followed by a demanding descent along the Pitztaler Almenweg to the Neuberg Alm. After approximately 87 km and around 5,200 metres of elevation gain, the finish line in Mandarfen is reached. The P90 is aimed at ultra-runners, experienced trail runners, ambitious marathon runners, cross-country and mountain runners, and extreme adventure runners.
