Terms of Transportation: 
Buying a mountain lift ticket our customers fully accept the general terms and conditions of transportation defined by our Lift Company. The full version of these general terms, released by the responsible Austrian authority (Ministry of Transport), is published on official information boards at the lift stations.

Non-operation, interrupted operation or reduced operation of mountain lifts: 
Ski passes will not be refunded or extended in case of bad weather, avalanche hazard, discontinued lift operation, closed ski runs, early departure, etc. The use of all ski pistes is at your own risk. Operating hours and seasons subject to change due to unforeseeable snow conditions.

Reduced lift tickets: 
A valid photo ID card is absolutely required for discounted lift tickets (Bambini, children, seniors, disabled persons) - no exceptions are made. No further discounts are granted for reduced tickets.

Photo:
A photo is required for all season tickets. It will be taken right at the skipass desk and is free of charge.

KeyCards: 
Our lift tickets are based on the hands-free KeyCard system. A deposit of € 2.00 must be paid for each ticket. The deposit will be refunded if the undamaged KeyCard is returned in a reusable way. You can return KeyCards at all cash desks / ski pass offices of Pitztaler Gletscherbahnen (until 4:00 pm), at the automated KeyCard machine on the glacier, at the tourist information offices, in many sport shops, ski schools or at the hotels' reception desks. The validity of your ski ticket will be checked electronically as soon as you enter the mountain lifts in the valley or within the ski area. Single ride tickets for non-skiers are only available as magnetic cards which must be inserted manually into the turnstiles at the mountain lift terminals.

Misuse, Exchange & Validity of Lift Tickets: 
Permanent ski pass controls within the entire ski area. On request, please show your valid ski pass to the lift staff. All ski passes are personal tickets and therefore not transferable to other persons. Misuse of ski passes will be prosecuted (fined with the triple ski pass rate!) and may be reported to the responsible authorities. Any incident of fraudulent use shall result in the immediate confiscation of the ski pass. Once purchased, ski passes cannot be exchanged or prolonged afterwards.

Mixed Season Rates: 
For ski passes in overlapping season times we charge a mixed rate.

Parking: 
Parking in our signposted parking areas is free of charge! 

Slope Rescue: 
Slope rescue operations have to be paid in cash directly to our office on the spot.

Refund of ski pass in case of an Ski Accident: 
Ski passes valid at least 2+ days are refunded in case of a severe ski accident - This is not valid for accompanying persons. The ski pass of the injured person will be refunded from the day you give it back (and not from the day of the accident) to the ski pass desk on presentation of a medical certificate issued by one of the local doctors.

Combined Ski Passes: 
The single services included in the card are provided by legally independent business partners. All partners selling the card only act as agents for all the other business partners. Therefore, only the respective partner is liable for compensation claims and obliged to provide the single service he offers.

Safety Instructions: 
Please always follow the instructions given by the mountain lift and ski slope staff due to safety reasons. Persons acting contrary to instructions given by the local staff must leave the ski area immediately. The ski pass will be confiscated without substitution! 

Loss:
No ski pass refund in case of loss for lift tickets valid up to 2 days. Ski passes valid 3 or more days can be issued a second time for the remaining days on presentation of your ski pass purchase receipt (including a lock code) at the mountain lift cash desk - for a handling charge of € 15.00. No refund of the deposit for the lost KeyCard. 

Discounts & Agreements

  • Free Bambini ski pass: children under 10 years - if accompanied by one parent - ski for free (kids born in 2009 or after). Valid only if all ski passes are bought together (not valid for annual tickets, combined tickets or already reduced tickets). A photo ID card is absolutely required! Please note that children under 1.20 m (height) are not allowed to use the mountain lifts alone.
  • Group discounts: reduced group rates are available for 20+ persons - send a written request for more detailed information to marketing@tirolgletscher.com
  • Half-day lift tickets: ½ , 1 ½, 2 ½ and 3 ½-day lift tickets can be purchased from 11:35 am. Sorry, there are no morning ski passes!
  • Kaunertal plus: buying a multi-day lift ticket (valid for 6+ days) you are allowed to ski on a maximum of 2 days also at Kaunertal Glacier and in the Fendels Ski Area. This offer is not valid during promotional weeks.
  • Skibus shuttle: Free use of local skibus shuttle buses for holders of a valid lift ticket.
  • Ski instructors: officially certified ski instructors with a valid photo ID plus the Annual MoU or ISIA Badge receive a discounted lift pass (not valid for annual tickets, combined tickets or already reduced tickets).
  • Additional days: the validity of ski passes for 5+ days can be extended once (without a break in-between) at a special price.
    This special rate is available only on the following day (one day after the expiry date) on presentation of the expired ski pass.
  • Disabled persons: discounted lift pass for holders of a valid disabled pass (minimum of 60% disability grade); not valid for annual tickets or already reduced tickets.

  • Ski Pass Cash Desks and Opening Hours:
    Gletscherexpress cash desk: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (in winter: daily, also on Sundays and public holidays / in summer: during operating times of the Gletscherexpress mountain lift)
    Rifflseebahn cash desk: in winter - Sunday to Thursday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Friday and Saturday 8:30 am - 5:00pm / in summer - daily 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
  •  Payment options: Cash in €, Bankomat Card (Maestro) and Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) 

Price details subject to change. Errors and omissions excepted. All prices are inclusive of VAT. Purchasing a ski pass you accept the General Terms & Conditions - Place of jurisdiction is Innsbruck.

 Compensation for damage and liability

In the event of loss or damage, the Company shall only be liable for intent or gross negligence. Liability for ordinary negligence and compensation for consequential damage and financial loss, loss of interest, and loss or damage arising from third-party claims against the Contracting Party is hereby excluded.

Any damages awarded for claims asserted against the Company for liability, regardless of the legal grounds for doing so, shall be limited to the sum of the Company’s liability insurance cover.

The Company shall not be liable for damage or injury to piste users or the Contracting Party as a result of other parties’ misconduct. Particularly careless and dangerous skiing/riding and failure to respect barricades or other instructions shall entitle the Company to refuse to transport the Contracting Party in question.

The Contracting Party’s obligations

 The terms and conditions of transport displayed at all valley stations shall form an integral part of the terms and conditions of transport. They apply to the transport of people and behaviour in the lift areas. The Contracting Party undertakes to comply with all terms and conditions of transport. Breach of the terms and conditions of transport shall have legal consequences in terms of liability.

 The Contracting Party shall follow all FIS rules.

Purchasing vouchers and tickets in the online shop/ticket shop  “ Starjack”

The Onlineshop is hosted from the company “Starjack”. The Terms of Conditions you can find at https://starjack.at/agb (link is external)

Vouchers may be redeemed for the Company’s entire service range. It is not possible to exchange the vouchers for cash. Vouchers may only be redeemed at the Company’s ticket offices.

 Lost vouchers will not be replaced.

 If the value of a voucher exceeds that of the service purchased, a new voucher shall not be generated for the remaining credit.

 Vouchers have no expiry date.

The price for vouchers does not include VAT. A VAT invoice can only be generated in accordance with the Austrian VAT Act upon voucher redemption and performance of the purchased service. ost.

The Contracting Party shall provide all relevant, correct and complete information requested upon conclusion of the contract. In the event that the Contracting Party supplies the Company with incorrect, incomplete or unclear information, it shall indemnify the Company against all costs and damage incurred by the Company as a result.

 The value of each voucher shall be equivalent to the sum paid for the voucher.

Consumers’ right to cancel (does not apply to companies) / ONLINESHOP

 

CANCELLATION INSTRUCTIONS
A customer who is a consumer within the meaning of the Consumer Protection Act has the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period is 14 days from the day
 

  • on which the consumer or a nominated third party who is not the carrier takes possession of the items ordered;
  • OR (in the event that a contract is concluded regarding several goods that are ordered together but delivered separately , from the day in which the consumer or a nominated third party who is not the carrier takes possession of the last item ordered;
  • OR (in the event that a contract is concluded regarding one item sent over several part deliveries or in pieces) from the day that the consumer or a nominated third party who is not the carrier takes possession of the last part delivery or piece of the item.

 

If the consumer exercises their right to cancel within the appropriate period, their order shall no longer be binding. The date for exercising the right to cancel shall be the date on which the rescission notice or ordered items are sent back to the Company.

a clear statement (e.g. by registered mail, fax or e-mail) regarding their decision to cancel this contract. The consumer may use the cancellation form provided below, but this is not obligatory.
To observe the cancellation period, it suffices to send the Company notification that the right to cancel will be exercised before the cancellation period expires.

 

 

 

However, the right to cancel shall not exist if performance of the service concerned has already begun within the cancellation period. In addition, the purchase of season tickets or ski passes for a specific period of time shall not be subject to the right to cancel under Section 18(1) No. 10 of the Distance Selling Act.
Consequences of cancellation:
If this contract is cancelled, the Company shall immediately reimburse all payments made to it by the consumer, including all delivery costs, no later than 14 days from the date on which it receives notification that the consumer wishes to exercise their right to cancel. The Company shall refund any money owed to the consumer using the same payment method used in the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with the consumer. The consumer shall under no circumstances be charged a fee for this refund. The Company shall be entitled to withhold the refund until it has received the returned goods or the consumer has provided evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever is earlier.
The consumer shall return the goods to the Company immediately and no later than 14 days from the day on which they informed the Company of their desire to cancel the contract. The cancellation period shall be deemed to be observed if the consumer sends the goods back to the Company before this 14-day period expires. The consumer shall bear all costs directly arising from the return of the goods. The consumer shall pay the Company appropriate compensation for use of the product, including compensation for any associated loss in value.

 Choice of law and place of jurisdiction

For all contracts concluded between the Company and the Contracting Party and for all claims arising from the legally valid existence or non-existence of this contract, it is hereby agreed that substantive Austrian law shall apply, excluding the provisions of Austrian private international law.

The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all legal disputes arising from this or future contracts between the Company and the Contracting Party shall be the court with jurisdiction rationed loci (A-6481 St.Leonhard) and rationed materiae. However, the Company may also pursue legal action against the Contracting Party in another domestic or foreign place of jurisdiction.

Data protection and data processing
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We process the personal data provided to us in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DSVGO) and the Data Protection Amendment Act. The Pitztaler Gletscherbahnen have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with the data users, so that it can be ensured that no unauthorized access to the data provided. The processing of personal data takes place exclusively on the basis of a justification ground specified in Art. 6 (1) DSVGO, primarily for the purpose of providing the contractually guaranteed benefits and for the purpose of fulfilling various statutory obligations.

 The online presentation of our company offers and services takes place within the online presence of www.pitztal.com. The privacy policy of www.pitztal.com can be found at https://www.pitztal.com/en/data-privacy-policy

 If personal data is provided, it shall be used to process queries and/or bookings, to provide other services, and to carry out administrative tasks.

The Contracting Party hereby agrees that their personal data will be stored and processed as necessary. The Contracting Party’s personal data shall be kept strictly confidential in the meaning of the provisions of the Austrian Data Protection Act.

 The Contracting Party’s personal data shall not be sold or otherwise marketed to third parties. Their personal data shall only be forwarded or otherwise transmitted to third parties if this is necessary for business purposes or if it was previously consented to by the Contracting Party. The Contracting Party may withdraw their consent at any time. It may also be necessary to disclose personal data in order to comply with legal requirements or procedures.

 Transportation shall take place after entry control. The Contracting Party’s place and number of entries shall be used exclusively for billing purposes and stored only insofar as this is necessary for performance of the contract.

The Contracting Party hereby notes that a reference photo shall be taken of the Ticket holder on their first use of a camera-equipped turnstile. This reference photo shall be compared by lift staff to each additional photo taken at camera-equipped turnstiles. This data application (Photo Compare) has been registered with the data protection authority and is entered in the data processing register.

 The reference photo shall be immediately deleted upon expiry of the Ticket. The other, additional photos shall be deleted no later than 30 minutes after the Ticket holder uses the turnstile in question.
