Walk along a steeper path from Plattenrain to the catered mountain hut Hochastner Alm. Then walk along the mountain ridge along a beautiful forest path directly to the catered mountain hut Venetalm. (Signposted as “Venet-Rundwanderweg” [Venet circular route]). To return, turn left at the first fork and continue to walk along this path back to Hochaster Alm and then continue to walk on the same path as on your way up initially. After the fork keep left and the forest road will take you back to the un-catered mountain hut Timler Alm and to the starting point.

Starting point: gondola bottom lift station. The steadily ascending so called Bärensteig leads up to the catered mountain hut Stalderhütte or the catered mountain hut Hochzeigerhaus. A wide path over alpine pastures continues to the catered mountain hut Tanzalm. You can comfortably return to the valley by gondola. Optionally you may also walk via the Innerwald (walking time: 1.5 hrs) or Rodelweg path (walking time: 2 hrs). For those two options the starting point would be Kaitanger.

Hike to Tiefentalalm

This hike starts in Scheibe at the Restaurant Gasthof zur Einkehr. From there you cross a bridge and walkd along the agricultural road up to the catered mountain hut Tiefentalalm. Return first along the agricultural road after 1 h a path takes you to Schrofen. From Schrofen you walk on the "Talwanderweg" back to Scheibe/Piösmes.

Starting point: gondola bottom station. Take the gondola to the Mittelstation (interme diate station). From there take the path to the right towards the Zollberg peak and continue to the left on the Ferdinand-Wohlfarter trail up to the Hochzeiger peak (2,560 m). Following this a beautiful panoramic path continue to the Sechszeiger peak (2,360 m). After the peak take the path to the left downhill to the catered mountain hut Kalbenalm and return to the intermediate station.

From the intermediate station run along the agricultural road to the catered mountain hut Tanzalm. Then continue on this road for three kilometres all the way to the valley station of the Zirben mountain railway. At the following road junction follow the agricultural road on the left all the way to the starting point of the Single Trail 4A. This trail overlooks the catered mountain hut Leiner Alpe (which is ideal for a break), until it almost reaches the north ridge of the Sechzeiger mountain. At the fork turn left and run uphill along the ridge to the Sechzeiger summit cross. Just before the reservoir pond and near the summit cross, a steep trail leads downhill back to the agricultural road. Once there, turn left and follow the road until you reach the starting point of the Single Trail. Then follow the Single Trail across an alpine meadow back to the intermediate station.

Walk form the starting point car park Steige up to the church. From the church in Arzl, follow the serpentine path up to Burgstall and then continue to the hamlet of Arzlair. Through meadows and forests, continue on to the catered mountain hut Plattenrainalm. Enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Inn valley and visit the Meditation Chapel to let your thoughts wander. Over a short steep path, continue on to the catered mountain hut Hochaster Alm. From here go along the mountain ridge on a beautiful steep forest climb to the catered mountain hut Venetalm (follow signposts ‘Venet-Rundwanderweg‘ ).

From the starting point, follow a path over a bridge then continue to walk on the agricultural road. This flat and
even road leads to the catered mountain hut Taschach Alm. Continue on this road for about 200 m, then turn right on a steep, but well-prepared track up to the Rifflsee lake. After crossing the stream, veer right to the catered mountain hut Riffelseehütte. Continue to walk along the Rifflsee lake to the Rifflseebahn top station. A little further turn right and descend on a track, which affords spectacular views of the Hirschtal v al-ley and along a path set in panoramic scenery to return to Mandarfen. From there, it is about 300 m to return to your starting point.

Hike to Kielebergalm

Take a forest track to the right in the direction of the catered mountain hut Kielebergalm. After approx. 15 – 20 minutes walking time, take a left at the fork towards Stein and the catered mountain hut Kielebergalm. This forest track ends just before the Kielebergalm. Note: the last section of the track is very steep. After leaving the Alm keep to the right at all times and then follow the agricultural road, always bearing left to return to Matzlewald.
