Kogel Route - Blue
Start
Glacier Restaurant (2837m)
Finish
Top station Brunnenkogel (t-bar lift) (3244m)
Access:
From the Glacier Restaurant at the top station of Pitztal's Gletscherexpress via a short downhill stretch (about 50 m) to the tour's starting point at the base station of Brunnenkogel T-bar lift.
Characteristics and Description:
Blue Piste – Easy ski tour along the ski run
The ascent route follows exactly the ski piste number 20 on a moderately climbing route, starting at the T-bar lift's base station and leading along the right edge of the ski run (seen from the valley). After about 500 m the ascent route leaves the ski run, joining a separate ascent track towards a short steep slope between the ski piste and the jagged mountain saddle. After this strenuous climb you reach a level area where the route crosses the ski run towards its left side (seen from the valley). Here you continue on the groomed ascent track between the ski lift and the T-bar lift until you get to the lift's top station.

Leiner Alm circuit
Start
Middel station (2024m)
Finish
Middel station (2025m)
Run from the intermediate station along the agricultural road to the catered mountain hut Tanzalm. Then continue on this road all the way to the valley station of the Zirben mountain railway. At the following road junction, follow the agricultural road on the left all the way to the starting point of the Single Trail 4A. This trail overlooks the catered mountain hut LeinerAlpe (which is ideal for a break), until it almost reaches the north ridge of the Sechszeiger mountain. Follow Trail 15 until you are just below the mountain hut Kalbenalm. Cross the agricultural road and continue to follow Trail 15 until you reach the Tanzalm. From there, an agricultural road leads back to the intermediate station.
Hike to Aifneralm mountain hut
Start
Car park near the hamlet Puschlin (1518m)
Finish
Car park near the hamlet Puschlin (1518m)
Swiss Trac Tour: Start: Please do not take the trail starting straight at the Naturparkhaus, as this features a short section that is not accessible by Swiss-Trac.
Start this route at the car park near the hamlet of Puschlin. Initially follow a well-prepared forest path. You will cover some altitude on this initial steep uphill section. Please note that you should never leave the main path. It leads past beautiful alpine meadows and after approx. 2/3 of the way, the surface of the path will become a little rougher and harder to navigate. After ca. 1.5 h you will reach the catered mountain hut “Aifner Alm”. The hut itself is accessible via a ramp, however, after rainfall the path leading up to it may be washed out in places. The toilet can be accessed by mounting one step. The corridor is very narrow due to a box. The toilet can be accessed by wheelchair but there is not sufficient space for turning circles.

Then continue to follow a path until you reach a wide hillside just before Hochzeiger gondola. Continue walking on this hillside across open clearings until you reach the Hochzeiger Haus, then continue keeping left, past the Hochzeiger Haus, and keep to the left side of the ski slope until you reach the toboggan run. Then cross through a short underpass and follow the toboggan run (please BE CAREFUL as there may be oncoming traffic) until you reach Tanzalm mountain hut and further on to Zeigerrestaurant at the intermediate station.

Ferner Route - Red
Start
Glacier Restaurant (2684m)
Finish
Top station Mittelbergbahn (Gondola) (3278m)
Access:
From the Glacier Restaurant at the top station of Pitztal's Gletscherexpress via a short downhill stretch on ski piste number 25 to Gletschersee base station of Mittelbergbahn. The ascent route starts right at the base station next to the signpost.
Characteristics and Description:
Red Piste – Intermediate ski tour along the ski run
From the starting point at the Gletschersee chair lift base station you keep to the left edge of the ski run (seen from the valley) on ski piste number 36. Right at the start, close to the base station, there is a very tricky narrow section covering about 50 meters. Watch out for oncoming sportspeople. After another 500-meter stretch the ascent route travels along the ski piste number 36. A moderately climbing section in the lower third is followed by a separate ascent track, leaving behind the ski run. Shortly before you reach the top station of Mittelbergbahn, in the surroundings of Mittelbergjoch saddle, you reach the ski piste number 36 again. A last but pleasant ascent on the left edge of the ski run (seen from the valley) takes you to the top station of Mittelbergbahn. A very lovely route just perfect for slightly advanced ski touring fans.
