Talloipe cross-country skiing trail

Start
several optional access points
Finish
several optional exit points
The valley cross-country skiing trail follows the Pitze river all along the bottom of the valley between the villages of Mittelberg and Wiese. The 21.3 km long trail has a set track for classic skiing and for skate skiing and can be skied in both directions. It is furthermore possible to access or exit the trail in any of the villages en route. The valley trail is a must for any cross-country skier visiting Pitztal, not only because it is excellently groomed but because of its magnificently scenic setting.

Finish
car park Piller Moor (1526m)
From the starting point hike to Piller Moor until you reach the fountain. Return to your staring point via the same route on the last section.

Waldeck-Krabichl Runde

Start
(1178m)
Finish
(1178m)
The walk starts at Galtwiesen car park. From here, walk along a forest path in the direction of Wennerberg. After approximately 200 metres turn off to the right and follow another forest path to Weiler Krabichl/Leins. Once there, turn right again via a farm track through meadows and close the loop by returning back to the starting point. Why not finish off your walk by stopping at Jausenstation Waldeck for some refreshments?

Large ´Harbeweiher´ [pond] circular route

Start
Nature Park Centre at Gachenblick (1584m)
Finish
Nature Park Centre at Gachenblick (1583m)
As with the small Harbeweiher pond circular hike, with your back turned to the Nature Park Centre, turn right on the farm road in a southerly direction. Follow this road to a fork and also turn right in the direction of Harbeweiher pond. Unlike the small Harbeweiher pond circular route, continue to follow this road past a fantastic viewing point until you reach the Harbeweiher pond. This pond is an extremely untouched and wild, romantic area not far from the Nature Park Centre and lends itself perfectly for nature lovers who do not want to cover long distances. After a short ascent, you will have reached the highest point and can then return on a forest road to the other side of the Nature Park Centre.

Hubertus cross-country skiing trail

Start
Nature Park Centre Piller Sattel / Gachenblick
Finish
Nature Park Centre Piller Sattel / Gachenblick

This is a rather demanding trail with set tracks for classic skiing and set skate skiing tracks in places. It meanders over 7.5 km in length through the partially thick forest areas. After approximately 2 km skiers reach a small clearing and the trail runs over a demanding ascent to the “Harbeweiher” pond. After a short loop around the frozen lake and a further ascent, the highest point of the cross-country skiing trail is reached. From there the trail again runs through dense forests back to the stating point. This cross-country skiing trail is ideal for nature lovers with adequate stamina.

From there, head north and follow the signs to the “Talwanderweg”. Shortly after a small playground there is a junction, continue uphill in the direction of “Langenau”. The actual “Happy Track” starts there. There are three interactive stations focusing on the subject of “self-esteem”. Old thought patterns are questioned, inner strengths are brought to the fore and affirmations are used to show ways in which to gain confidence. At the end of the “Happy Track” there is visitor’s or “pathways book” which gives inspiration for the following day and you can also leave messages for others.
