Wennerberg Alm - Leiner Alm 6019

Starting point for this circular route is the car park Galtwiesen. From there, follow the forest road all the way to Vordere Wennerbergalm mountain hut. Straight past the mountain hut, follow the forest road all the way to its end and then there will be a short 50 metre section where you will have to push your bike. Then continue on the forest road and turn left towards Leiner Alm mountain hut at the next fork. Return via the same route and then turn left in the direction of Jerzens or Krabichl. Once you reach a large crossroads turn right and return to your starting point.

Stalderhütte - Hochzeiger Haus 6006

Starting from the Pitztal Bike (MTB 614), which winds like a lifeline through the entire Pitztal valley, this medium-difficulty route branches off at the hamlet of Kienberg in the direction of Jerzens.Through the centre of Jerzens, the route runs for a short stretch on the asphalt road, only to branch off to the right at the second bend at the hamlet of Egg onto the forest path into the Innerwald forest. The route winds its way uphill through the shady forest. On the last section, the route led through meadowland to the Stalderhütte or on a short branch path up to the Hochzeigerhaus. If you want to enjoy a beautiful and varied round tour, you can cycle back to the starting point shortly after the Stalderhütte on the Tanzalm route (MTB 609).

Venetalm Route with Variation Larcher Alm 640

The route starts at the junction of the Pitztal Bike (MTB 614) in the hamlet of Oberdorf above Wenns. The route first follows the asphalt road in the direction of Farmie with long curves. After about 2 km, the forest road begins at Audershof and winds its way up through the forest to the Venetalm (refreshment stop). After about half of the route, there is also the option of making a detour to the Larcher Alm (from starting point 1 h 50 min, 6 km,  780 hm). Once you arrive at the Venetalm, a stunning view into the Gurglt and Inn valleys and further towards the Pitztal valley awaits the bikers. The descent is either the same route back to Wenns or you can choose the black variant MTB 604 (Imsterberg - Venetalm) to get back to Imsterberg.

Tanzalm Route 609

Starting from the Pitztal Bike (MTB 614), which winds its way through the entire Pitztal like a lifeline, this medium-difficulty route branches off at the Kienberg district in the direction of Jerzens. The forest path changes to an asphalt road for a short stretch through the centre of Jerzens and leads to the Kaitanger district. In several serpentines, the route first winds uphill along the forest road through the forest. The last section runs through light woodland and meadows to the Tanzalm, which is a serviced mountain pasture.

Piller circular route

Route description:
Start off at the civic centre in Wenns and continue via Piller Sattel (1,560 m) in the direction of Fließ.

From there continue to cycle on the country road to Landeck. Cycle through this district’s capital further to Zams and past several small villages all the way to Imst.

Pitztal is signposted again from Imst and you will reach your starting point after crossing the striking Pitztal bridge and Arzl, the first town of Pitztal valley.

Duration: 2-3 hours

Kalbenalm - Sechszeiger 6020

The starting point of this trail is the car park Mühlschrofen below the hamlet of Gischlewies. The forest path leading towards Leiner Alm branches off after about 1 km onto a wide gravel path towards Kaitanger (Entry also possible from Kaitanger). From here, the route runs parallel to the red MTB route 609 (Tanzalm) and together the trails meander steadily uphill through sparse woodland to the Stalderhütte/Hochzeigerhaus turn-off. The route continues straight on to the Kalbenalm located at the timberline (refreshment stop). From there the trail runs steeply uphill in serpentines for approx. 1.5 km to the reservoir at the mountain station of the Panorama cable car. On the subsequent flatter section, the biker can take a breather before reaching the summit cross of the Sechszeiger at 2,392 m, where a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains makes the effort worthwhile. If you want to reach a second summit, follow the signs to the Hochzeiger 2.5 mountain station - another 1.7 km or 40 minutes. Once there, you can reach the Hochzeiger 2,560 m summit on foot in 15 minutes. You can return via the same route or via the Steinbock Trail (single trail).
 
 

Hahntennjoch circular route

Route description:
The tour starts with a steep ascent over ca. 15 kilometres to the Hahntennjoch ridge (1,894 m). It’s a descent from there down to Elmen in Lechtal valley and then cycling out of the valley in the direction of Reutte to Stanzach. Once in Stanzach, follow a narrow picturesque alpine pass through the Namloser valley to Berwang. Continue to cycle downhill to Bichlbach via Lermoos and Biberwier until you reach the Fernpass road (B179). After a short ascent to the Fernpass Höhe peak, you will pass Nassereith and the Gurgltal and leisurely coast back to the starting point.

"Kaunertaler Glacier road" route

Route description:
Start off at the civic centre in Wenns and cycle via Piller Sattel (1,560 m) in the direction of Kauns in Kaunertal. Once there, cycle on the Kaunertal country road all the way to the toll point and then continue to cycle on the private road up to Kaunertaler Glacier on 2,750 m.

Then continue via the same route for the time being all the way to Kauns and straight on to Prutz. Once there, turn right onto the Bundesstraße [A-road] in the direction of Fließ. From then on cycle uphill again to Piller Sattel and leisurely coast dowhill to Wenns.

Duration: 5-7 hours
