Discover our varied tours and routes

Two lake tour

Start
Rifflsee gondola bottom station (2291m)
Finish
Rifflsee gondola valley station (1674m)
Take the Rifflsee gondola to the top station, then turn right and follow the signs to the Rifflseerundweg (circular
route) all the way to where it joins with a high-level trail, the Offenbacher Höhenweg. After approximately 1 hour walking time, turn off left on a waymark ed steep path to the Plodersee lake. Descend on a waymarked steep track, which joins up with the another high-level trail, the Fuldaer Höhenweg. From there, continue to walk in the
direction of the catered mountain hut Taschach Alm and keep on walking to return to the start in Mandarfen.

Piller - Nature Park House Kaunergrat 7114

Start
Piller centre (1349m)
Finish
Natur Park House Kaunergrat (1574m)
The route starts in the centre of Piller. On a forest road you pass the Piller Fischteich and ride through a shady forest area towards Gogles Alm. Keep to the left and follow the route until you reach the Nature Park House Kaunergrat at Gachenblick.

Pitztal Bike 614

Start
Mittelberg (1733m)
Finish
Bahnhof Imst-Pitztal (718m)
The Pitztal Bike Route is the mountain biker’s lifeline through the entire valley. All connecting routes can be reached via the Pitzal Bike Route and thereby any tours can be planned from your favoured location via this mountain bike route.

Don’t underestimate the 40 km route along the valley as it bristles with minor inclines. Pitztal Bike Route also boasts a few technical sections that can be avoided by making small detours along the state road instead. Should you decide to cycle the route uphill starting from Imst station/Pitztal to Mittelberg, expect a 6 hours cycle tour with an impressive difference in altitude.

It is far easier to cycle the route starting from Mittelberg downhill to Imst station/Pitzal in around 3:30 hours.

Bike und Hike Taschachhaus 6025

Start
Mandarfen Parkplatz (1675m)
Finish
Materialseilbahn Taschachhaus (2043m)
From the public car park north of the Rifflsee cable car, you drive directly below the Rifflsee valley station over a bridge to the building yard of the Pitztal tourism association. You reach the Taschachalm on a very pleasant ascent. From there, you drive descend slightly in a south-westerly direction than you reach a rough gravel path. You pass the very steep ascent to the Rifflsee, which is not permitted for mountain bikers according to the landowner. It is also strongly discouraged, as the nature and steepness of the path is not suitable for MTBs or e-bikes. Following the signposted gravel path, you reach the Taschachhaus material cable car after approx. 6 km. From there, a wonderful hiking world opens up, which takes you not only to the Taschachhaus but also to the foot of the Taschachferner - walking time approx. 1 hour.

Variante Naturparkhaus Kaunergrat - Aifner Alm

Start
Naturparkhaus Kaunergrat (1575m)
Finish
Aifner Alm (1980m)
The tour starts at the Kaunergrat Nature Park House and first runs briefly downhill along the tarmac road towards Kaunerberg. Passing the hamlet of Puschlin, you gain a few metres in altitude before the route becomes more or less flat. At the first turn-off to the left, leave the tarmac road and follow the forest path uphill to the Aifner Alm.

Start
Community centre Wenns (1002m)
Finish
Community centre Wenns (1000m)

From there ride on a tarmac road to Wald for a short while and cross the Benni-Raich bridge (94 m high) to Arzl. Once there, continue to cycle on the Pitztal Bike Route to your starting point.

Arzler Alm Route 611

Start
St. Leonhard/Scheibe (1396m)
Finish
Arzler Alm (1890m)
Start in Scheibe at “Gasthof zur Einkehr” restaurant. The 3.7 km long uphill hike to the catered mountain hut Arzler Alm leaves hardly any opportunity for a breather. The route has an average of 13% incline and despite a dense forest protecting it from direct sunlight, hikers will certainly work up a sweat!
The condition of the mostly graveled roads is very good but caution should be exercised on your way down, especially in the bends. Arzler Alm affords fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Fallwandweg/Tiefentalalm 612

Start
St. Leonhard/Scheibe (1396m)

A mountain brook rushes past the idyllic Tiefentalalm and is a welcome way to cool down your feet.
Take care on your way down, especially in the first bend.
