After approximately 2 km skiers reach a small clearing and the trail runs over a demanding ascent to the “Harbeweiher” pond. Pitztal Bike 614

Start
Mittelberg (1733m)
Finish
Bahnhof Imst-Pitztal (718m)
The Pitztal Bike Route is the mountain biker’s lifeline through the entire valley. All connecting routes can be reached via the Pitzal Bike Route and thereby any tours can be planned from your favoured location via this mountain bike route.

Don’t underestimate the 40 km route along the valley as it bristles with minor inclines. Pitztal Bike Route also boasts a few technical sections that can be avoided by making small detours along the state road instead. Should you decide to cycle the route uphill starting from Imst station/Pitztal to Mittelberg, expect a 6 hours cycle tour with an impressive difference in altitude.

It is far easier to cycle the route starting from Mittelberg downhill to Imst station/Pitzal in around 3:30 hours.

Bike und Hike Taschachhaus 6025

Start
Mandarfen Parkplatz (1675m)
Finish
Materialseilbahn Taschachhaus (2043m)
From the public car park north of the Rifflsee cable car, you drive directly below the Rifflsee valley station over a bridge to the building yard of the Pitztal tourism association. You reach the Taschachalm on a very pleasant ascent. From there, you drive descend slightly in a south-westerly direction than you reach a rough gravel path. You pass the very steep ascent to the Rifflsee, which is not permitted for mountain bikers according to the landowner. It is also strongly discouraged, as the nature and steepness of the path is not suitable for MTBs or e-bikes. Following the signposted gravel path, you reach the Taschachhaus material cable car after approx. 6 km. From there, a wonderful hiking world opens up, which takes you not only to the Taschachhaus but also to the foot of the Taschachferner - walking time approx. 1 hour.
