Pitztal offers a special feature for trail runners and running enthusiasts: the Pitztal Trail, the equivalent of long-distance hikes especially for trail runners.
Pitztal Trail stretches through the entire Pitztal valley from Arzl to Mandarfen Trail City. The trail features four major stages in sections, with several variants of different levels of difficulty. It covers over 6,000 metres elevation gain and between 70 to 100 kilometres. Pitztal Trail is therefore ideal for professional training sessions in high alpine altitudes.
If you wish, the trail’s intensity can be increased by combining individual stages and adapted to any running ability. In addition, two of the stages have alternative route options that include summit experiences.
Moreover, further stages can be added in Mandarfen along the route of the famous Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail and a glacier crossing can be included over the famous Pitztaler Glacier.
Every stage finishes at a location with a respective overnight stay in one of Pitztal Trail’s partnering accommodation providers – including luggage transfer.
