The climbing garden can be reached from the Kaunergrat hut in approx. 3 minutes. The well secured high alpine climbing garden comprises 21 routes with difficulty levels between 2 and 6c. Seven routes can even be secured as top ropes. The impressive climbing wall is up to 70 metres high. Therefore it is recommended to have at least a 55 m rope with you. Since the climbing garden is located in high alpine terrain, we recommend
wearing a helmet. Equipment can be rented at the Kaunergrat hut (please register). The wall is also crossed by a
short practice climbing path with 80 m height, difficulty level A,B,C.

Magnificent Pitztal Glacier boasts the one and only Ski Touring Park in the secured ski area. No matter if you are an absolute beginner or a really ambitious expert - the Dynafit Ski Touring Park on Pitztal Glacier offers countless marvelous ski mountaineering routes between early autumn and late spring. Varied fabulous routes covering different altitude gains are available. What's best, the Park features separate ascent routes so that you can enjoy unlimited downhill skiing afterwards.

Starting at the hamlet of Liss follow the signs downhill to the village centre of Jerzens. This walk leads through the hamlets of Larchwies, Haag, Breitwies and Oberfeld to the village centre. Once there, several pubs and restaurants invite to take a break (Pitzloch, Restaurant Zirm and Hotel zum Lammwirt).

Kletterstadl Stillebach

This converted barn in Stillebach invites guests of all ages to try out bouldering. When building this climbing barn, the Melmer family attached great importance to safety. The climbing barn is fitted with special bouldering mats in eight layers and 36 cm thickness.
The following equipment is available:
- 70 m² area
- 150 m² bouldering space
- over 90 bouldering routes
- up to 45° degrees inclines
- Large campus board
- All levels of difficulty (beginners, advanced and children)
The day tickets can be purchased at the Biohotel Stillebach reception. You can also hire climbing boots there.

E5 Kaunergrat alternative route: Kaunergrathütte – Braunschweiger Hütte

Follow the path downhill to the second crossing. There are two alternative routes from here to the catered mountain hut Braunschweiger Hütte.
1st route: follow the path further downhill until you reach the hamlet of Plangeroß. Once there, follow the valley trail [Talwanderweg] to Mittelberg.
2nd route: Hikers with alpine experience can follow a high route, the so called Cottbuser Höhenweg, which is partially equipped with fixed ropes until you reach the top station of Rifflseebahn gondola. Continue hiking down to the catered mountain hut Taschach Alm and then descend to Mittelberg.
Both variants of the hike join up again in Mittelberg. Once there, continue the last 1,000 metres in altitude up to the catered mountain hut Braunschweiger Hütte.
