“On the go” with Pitzi & Gratsch

Visitors of all ages will also get to know the two friends Pitzi and Gratsch that live at ZirbenPark Hochzeiger. The little Alpine ibex Pitzi is Pitztal’s mascot. Together with his friend Gratsch, he experiences lots of exciting adventures. Gratsch is Austrian dialect for a nutcracker. The two also share a common passion: they love collecting and eating pine nuts. During Gratsch carefully works and hides the pine nuts in the forest floor, where they can grow later to a Swiss stone pine, Pitzi finally taste the wonderful pine nuts.

There’s so much fun to be had at ZirbenPark

Children can plant their pine seeds in a raised bed, jump into fresh hay, balance on and climb over various obstacles, visit a petting farm or hand plane lumber and collect the Swiss stone pine shavings in a sachet. Zirben Park’s highlight is the ZirbenZapfen adventure tower. This 12 metre high tower in the shape of a pinecone features a viewing platform and a 16 metre long tunnel slide. Those paying attention and remembering the clues on the information boards at Zirbenpark can take part in a quiz and win great Pitzi & Gratsch surprise packages. The circular route ends after about one hour walking time when visitors return to the intermediate station of Hochzeiger’s gondola lift, the start and finish of ZirbenPark. The Zeigerrestaurant offering Swiss stone pine specialities, regional produce and much more is located directly next to the station, here guests can stop for a bite to eat and spend some time relaxing.

• Swiss stone pine marble runs: Have fun with the marble runs and explore the ZirbenPark with a wooden ball. The wooden balls are available directly at the Hochzeiger middle station for a fee.

• ZirbenWasser. Building and damming up is the water highlight of the ZirbenPark: the water playground at the intermediate station features streams, wooden gullies, a shallow water biotope with walk-in pine cone, sand play and much more for our small and not so small ZirbenPark guests. A ZirbenPark day out with the family has now become even more fun.

• ZirbenCarts. The new Mountaincart downhill fun at the Hochzeiger.
